On August 23, the Lymington Club crew set the new world record (still unverified) in the furthest distance rowed in open water in 12 hours, rowing 122,4 km on a F82 quad by Filippi Boats, one of our main sponsors.

The crew of Jack Mans, Rob Maltby, Alex Gasper, Dave Mans and Toby Backhouse broke the previous Russian record by over 2.5 kilometres.

The crew spokesman Dave Mans, at the end of the challenge, said “The boat was absolutely amazing and we would never have got the record without her“.

Congratulations to the team for the extraordinary success.

We are confident that this challenge will set another milestone on the affirmation of Coastal Rowing worldwide.
